Local Strength

Local Strength Local Strength

Local Strength is a weekly youth leadership program at the Hillcrest Heights Library.  Its for youth ages 13-18 and it meets every Thursday from 4:00-5:30 pm.  Local Strength offers youth opportunities to gain skills so that they can identify, discuss, prioritize and build responses to needs within their communities. Some projects they have done include a CPR certification class, created business plans and presented them to the President of the PG County Chamber of Commerce, learned how to code webpages in HTML and wrote a grant to combat youth homelessness.
