Moksha, the University of Maryland's premier competitive Indian classical dance team, merges contemporary and Indian music with classical dance to craft original pieces that address diverse themes and social justice issues. Through performances nationwide, they strive to elevate awareness of this distinctive art form.
Their repertoire begins with the Pushpanjali in Raag Jog, a traditional opening piece symbolizing respect for the divine, teachers, audience, and the art form itself.
