Largo, Md. – As part of its ongoing phased reopening efforts, the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) announces the reopening of the Surratts-Clinton Branch Library pop-up location at the Davies Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Tuesday, November 16. The pop-up location hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am-2 pm. Services offered at this pop-up library include public laptop computers, browsing, returns, reference/material requests, and WiFi.
As with all PGCMLS locations of operation, facemasks, and physical distancing are required until further notice, regardless of vaccination status. Safety measures include plexiglass shields, hand sanitizer dispensers, and single use keyboard and mouse covers.
“We're excited about the opening of the pop-up location to serve this community during the extended closure of the Surratts-Clinton Branch Library for major renovation,” said Area Manager Melanie Townsend Diggs. “A special thanks to Davies UUC for the use of its facilities for the Surratts-Clinton Library pop-up location.”
Construction of the new Surratts-Clinton Branch will continue into the calendar year 2022. Customers can follow progress on the project and learn about the planned features of the 25,682 square foot building at PGCMLS Builds.
